In 1985, Joe Ray created Estudio Ray as the next step in the evolution of his career. Joe has previously held successful tenures as a designer and art director on both the agency and client side of marketing communications.

Estudio Ray was initially a freelance venture but with the help of wife and partner, Christine, the business grew quickly. Soon, both Joe and the firm began to receive national recognition for innovative strategic design solutions. As a result of their innovation and creativity, Joe and Estudio Ray have received over 75 local, regional and national awards to date.

One of Joe's professional specialties is leading Estudio Ray's clients in connecting with Hispanic consumers through proven marketing and branding strategies. By helping businesses translate their brand cultures into the Hispanic culture, Joe and Estudio Ray build bridges of understanding that results in strong sales and long term growth.

As a catalyst of the Phoenix business community, Joe is an active supporter of non-profit organizations like the Southwest Autism Research Resource Center, Xicanindio Artes, Inc. (supporting Chicano and Native American artists), Workshops for Youth & Families (formerly Foundation for Youth & Family), the ASU Spirit of Enterprise, American Marketing Association and Park Central Toastmasters Club.

Nationally, Joe is the founder of Estudio Arte, a new charitable foundation that will provide scholarships for Latino students who are interested in pursuing a career in the arts.

Christine is a Principal and co-Creative Director of Estudio Ray. Chris received her B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Arizona State University. She served as art director at a number of firms before entering the corporate world as senior art director at American Continental Corporation, a real estate development firm. Her work has been recognized and published in national and international design publications receiving over 75 awards over the years.

Her background in marketing, advertising and graphic design has helped build the business into an award-winning firm. Her leadership and strategy has also helped Estudio Ray to grow into one of the top 25 strategic branding and design firms in Arizona.

Chris is actively involved in the design, advertising and art community and has evolved with the trends and changes within these industries. Community and professional involvement includes being on the Advisory Steering Committee for SARC (Southwest Autism Research Center), Director of Publications for NEWH (Network of Executive Women in Hospitality), Advisory Board and member of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts), Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, ASU Alumni Association, APDF (Association of Professional Design Firms) and DMI (Design Management Institute) and a graduate of the AAAME Program (APS Academy for the Advancement of Small, Minority and Women Owned Enterprises) for 2002-04.
