Marcus has a twenty-year plus record of galvanising clients, colleagues, prospects and the communication industry. He is one of the few to have genuine cross-discipline experience across advertising, design, direct, digital, healthcare and media. In September 2018, he launched ‘The Great Pitch Company’, helping businesses achieve profitable business growth through the power of a great pitch. Built upon his outstanding track-record of helping domestic, regional and global businesses retain and win new clients, the company provides both pitch consultancy and new business training. Throughout his career Marcus has worked at world-leading companies driving their expansion. Prior to setting up his own company Marcus worked for Publicis Media. During his time there he identified transformational solutions for clients and been instrumental in; the win of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) account in EMEA and APAC, the global media agency appointment by Merck Consumer Health as well as Visa Europe’s selection of the Publicis Media brand Starcom. He has also been a lead team member for key multi-discipline ('Power of One') wins including P&G UK and Ireland media pitch consolidation as well as the retention of the media business for L'Oréal in France (France's biggest advertiser) and L'Oréal Italy. For 13 highly additive years, Marcus had a variety of roles at WPP. These included leading a pioneering cross-discipline, multi-lingual hub agency for WPP with clients including Adobe, Nestlé, and Caterpillar, to award winning success. His ability to marshal communication disciplines to resolve client challenges saw him lead some of the largest pitches across WPP. During his tenure, global wins included Microsoft and Jaguar Land Rover among dozens of regional and local wins. He co-founded 3LA in 2014. Part technology, part strategy, part consultancy, 3LA helps companies and agencies, grapple with the opportunities afforded by marketing automation.
Ajab was born and bred in the West Midlands in the Uk where he went on to study fine art at Stourbridge College. Everyone needs a lucky break and his came in 1987 when he was hired as an art director at Saatchi & Saatchi London by the legendary ECD Paul Arden. He went on to work on some of the world’s biggest brands holding positions as Regional Creative Director on Sony, British Airways, General Mills, T-Mobile, Visa and Pampers. Ajab was also responsible for winning £200 million worth of new business with his work at Saatchi. Some of his more recent roles were: 2004 – EMEA Creative Director T-Mobile – within three years he helped transform a disparate dusty old brand into one that had a young cohesive visual style, the work not only picked up awards but also led to increased market share in nearly every country. 2008 - EMEA Creative Director P&G Pampers - He oversaw the creative output around the region across multiple agencies and disciplines including TV, print, shopper marketing, E-Commerce, PR and £14 million of digital marketing. 2011 - With his invaluable experience on Telecoms he was finally lured away from Saatchi’s and joined WPP as Global Creative Director at Team Vodafone. In two years he rejuvenated the brand by relaunching 'power to you' This also resulted in Gold and Silver lion wins at Cannes. 2013 - In July he took up the position of Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy & Mather Japan. Ajab has always led from the front and is also a highly awarded creative with over 100 national and international awards and commendations for his own work at D&AD, BTA, The Clios, Epica, Eurobest, Creative Circle, Cannes, Campaign and The One Show. Outside of work you’ll find him pouring over heaps of dusty books researching his single greatest passion, Indian Painting between the 17th & 19th centuries.
John is one of the Saatchi network's most highly awarded creatives, with Cannes Lions, D&AD Black and Silver pencils and the NY One Show Best of Show award amongst his international trophies, as well as many local ones. His current role has combined working closely with various pan regional and global clients - such as Visa, Toyota, Lexus, T-Mobile, Guinness and Novartis - with providing support on major new business pitches, driving creativity across all the many offices in the region and promoting a highly collaborative spirit. He is a pioneer of Tribe, an unusual fast track, multi discipline, idea development process, typically involving teams from different offices. This has proved to be a very effective way to use the best talent on key opportunities. His most successful year award wise recently was 2012 with 12 Gold Lions at Cannes, and Israel and Italy leading the way. In 2013, it was Germany's turn for Glory, with 10 Golds, 18 Silvers and 7 Bronze in various festivals. John sits on the WW Creative Board and the regional management board, and he chairs the regional creative board.
