It is a unique and highly focused event gathering the leading agency search consultants drawn from markets around the world with agency network CEOs and management teams from all disciplines, including creative, media, digital, PR, direct, and marketing services.
It’s an invitation only event that brings top players in the industry together, and offers them the chance to grow their business, network, and experience how they are shaping the future.
Participating agencies have set up private meetings with search consultants from around the world at their respective offices in order to have 1-on-1 conversations about agency goals, strategies, and key corporate messages.
In other words, they can share their “view from the top” during these meetings.
The event provides the consultants with the opportunity to assess and forecast global advertising industry trends; and, with up-to-date information constantly being exchanged, an exclusive forum to share ideas, challenges and opportunities.

The 2017 AdForum Summit will take place in New York from Monday, 24 to Friday, 28 April, covering a series of industry related issues, challenges, and trends in the international world of advertising and communications.
The AdForum Summit is an ‘invitation only’ event that will see global industry consultants, international network and independent agencies come together and share experiences. The Independent Agency Search and Selection Company (IAS) is the only South African company that has consistently been participating in the summit for the past nine years.
More than 25 agencies will be visited by more than 40 international consultants during summit week. Agencies including big names like Ogilvy, Grey, BBDO and Publicis Groupe, as well as independents like Anomaly and 72&Sunny, will participate in sessions where agency leaders from all disciplines in the industry will present their views and the challenges they face in the different markets that they operate.
“For the first time in several years, at least two of the global CEO’s we will be meeting are women – this at least is a step forward for the industry,” says Johanna McDowell, CEO of the IAS.
“As always, the week will be choc-a-bloc with news and excitement, and will provide the IAS with enough new material and insights to advise marketers and agencies in South Africa for the next 12 months as a minimum,” she concludes.
