As Managing Director of Amalgamated, Michael will use his experience as both client and agency-side marketer to help build our clients’ businesses.
His 15-year career in advertising boasts a healthy mix of client and agency-side experience with innovative, blue-chip companies. As VP, Advertising at DIRECTV, he was instrumental in the development of their category-leading advertising efforts, which drove a healthy increase in business and earned media. At MetLife, he helped the historic brand grapple with a number of important 21st-century challenges, including a brand relaunch, international expansion and the development of a direct-sales capability.
Prior to his time as a client, Michael held senior account management posts at top-tier agencies including BBDO and JWT, working with clients like Starbucks, eBay, Qualcomm, Procter & Gamble, Domino’s Pizza and Sprint. More importantly, he’s well-known as a collaborative innovator, working tirelessly to develop new and breakthrough ideas which drive results.
Less well-known is the fact that Michael has been working in advertising since he was 16, was admitted into medical school at age 17, and rarely regrets the decision he made.
