Synopsis A little girl unwraps her birthday present in what looks like a tent. As the film rolls, from second to second, we quickly realise that she is a refugee. Life goes from bad to worse as the refugee camp is raided and she is forced to flee the war-torn country. She is separated from her mother, survives an appalling boat journey and eventually makes it to Germany. But she has little hope. The sound design creates tension and dramatises the journey by putting us in the harsh reality of each shot. The result is visceral and dynamic.
