Synopsis | This is the first major brand spot featuring the Travelers umbrella since it was reacquired from Citigroup. The familiar red umbrella represented Travelers and insurance protection for decades. With the whimsy and charm of a classic fairytale, the spot follows the adventures of a dapper man delivering a 35-foot umbrella to its new owner in the city. Along his metaphoric journey, he uses this incredible umbrella to come to the aid of the people in need he encounters along the way. The man uses the umbrella to shelter a group of children from a storm, he ferries a stranded circus across a river, and then flies a pair of kids home after their bicycle breaks down. Finally arriving at his destination, he sits proudly atop the building, with the umbrella hovering above him. From this vantage point, he delights in the discovery that the city is filled with similar red umbrellas. The connection to Travelers is completewhen you need the umbrella, it will be there. |
