Workers getting off their shift – or just starting one. Clubbers on their way home. Emergency responders, air traffic controllers, fishermen. In fact, a lot of folk are up late at night. Including the staff of a certain fast food chain. McDonald’s. We are awake.

Synopsis Created by Leo Burnett London, the 60 second TV advert showcases the night, from evening through to morning, featuring real people and their night-time lives. McDonald’s moments are woven in seamlessly, highlighting the role McDonald’s plays in their consumers lives at night. The TV’s beautiful and elegant visuals are accompanied by a carefully chosen music track – ‘Rhythm of the Night’, with vocals by Hattie Webb.
Problème The ‘We are awake’ campaign for McDonald’s aims to remind customers that McDonald’s restaurants are there for them whatever their nights hold, with over 600 stores open 24 hours.
