Synopsis | The film portrays the bond that unites football supporters’ with the sport. The scene is a football stadium during an evening match and fans across the city are watching on television at home, in local bars, in their cars. With a score of 2:2 and 92:10 left on the clock, the tense moment is enhanced by the tango rhythm of Goodbye, Nonino by legendary composer Astor Piazzolla. The free kick ball seems to be controlled by a higher spirit as it propels across the field, heads for the opponent’s net and rests on the goal line. Silence… then miraculously as if by the hand of God, the ball gently rolls in and the beautiful game is won. Tears of joy and peals of excitement erupt throughout the city. |
