| Philosophie | Right amidst a typical fight in the busy streets of Cairo, it seems university student, Raouf Abdel Raouf, aka Oufa has had a bit of an incident, a mild accident. The other driver is angry and dismisses Oufa as a child that shouldn’t be driving in the first place. This naturally offends Oufa as he tries to fight back and answer these unjustified accusations, but Oufa’s father keeps pushing him away and replies on his behalf. In defense, his father agrees with the other driver that Oufa is in fact still a child and that the man shouldn’t pick on him. Extremely frustrated with his father’s demeaning defense, the film ends with Oufa mumbling, “I’m not a child” in quite rebellion that gets him nowhere. Pitiful and embarrassed, Oufa only has one promise from EGBANK, “No one takes you in to account, so we’re giving you your first account.” |
