| Synopsis | 621 sand sculptures lie lifeless on the beach in Zeebrugge. One for every migrant who drowned in the Mediterranean Sea on their way to a better life in Europe during this year's first trimester. A harrowing tableau composed by Flemish Refugee Action (Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen) to urge Belgium and the European Union to come up with more sustainable and humane ways of dealing with refugees. The message is loud and clear: the current migration policy is failing. |
