Synopsis Each year, 65 000 Chinese tourists land in Paris for the Golden Week, ready for an intensive seven day shopping spree. This year Paris Airport and it’s agency – Walk – launched a premium social shopping service aimed at getting Chinese tourists to spend more in the airport’s duty free stores. An increasing number of French brands are rapidly scaling their presence on Chinese social channels, and WeChat - with its billion users - is a cornerstone in these strategies. Paris Airport has been using the integrated nature of the platform to deliver services, information… and now, a full scale shopping experience: DUTY FREE BY NIGHT. The idea?
